Clarion County Forest Stewardship Committee

The Clarion County Forest Stewardship Committee was created in 1992 to educate and inform non-industrial private forest (NIPF) landowners about the concept of forest stewardship. By conducting needs assessments and presenting forest management principles to NIPF landowners, the committee has helped to implement almost 60 forest stewardship plans in Clarion County--one of the highest numbers in Pennsylvania. The Clarion County Forest Stewardship Committee also organizes educational programs and workshops for NIPF landowners, members of the community, and children. Because of the diversified knowledge and experience of its members, the committee is a resource for Clarion County landowners, as well as a champion of the principles of environmental stewardship.
